In the document view, the document you want to review is visualized. You can find this view in the left-column of your screen after clicking on 'review'.
Field markers: Augmented reality for documents
Fields that have been recognised are marked in this view using rectangles, like in the screenshot below.
These rectangles (or field markers) can have different colors and shapes according to the following convention:

Last update: January 2019 |
Everything in green boxes is recognized information.
This is the text or numbers you predefined and asked the machine to extract out of your document.
Everything in the red boxes is also recognized information.
However, when the field markers are red, it means that the machine is not confident it has extracted the correct information out of the document. It is important that someone double checks the machine and adapts the information if necessary. This is why it is called 'flagged for review'. (FFR)
Reviewing fields
Go ahead and click on one of the green or red boxes. You will be presented with the edit field or row dialog.
Text fields
This dialog will show you the label of the field (left) and the content of the field (right). On the right hand side, you have two controls: the X will delete the field. The V will confirm the field.
When you're reviewing a document that has already been reviewed, you won't see the X and V controls on the right.
Tag fields
Tag fields are fields that do not appear literally on the document. They are fields that are defined by the context of the document such as language, the type of document (letter, invoice, ...).
Therefore, you will not be able to find these fields in the document view. They will, however, show on the right hand-side, in the Data view.
Rows
→ insert screenshot of the dialog for rows, indicate the "label" and the "content" fields.
Rows is the perfect solution to structure tabular information or fields that can always be found together. For example, in an invoice or receipt, you might want to register the name of the item sold, the number of items, the price (including and/or excluding VAT), etc.
You can then group that information in a row or line item. This teaches the machine/training model that these types of information belong together.
Adding fields
You can mark a new field by using your mouse and dragging a box around the content. After drawing the box, the "edit field" dialog will appear and you will be asked to select the label of the field.
You can add tag fields from the document view. In this case, the rectangle will disappear after having created the tag field (f.e. language).
Unrecognized text: Blue boxes

Now you're more familiar with the 'recognized' and 'flagged for review' fields, there is one last type of text field you need to know about: Unrecognized fields.
These are fields that the machine recognized there's something there, but doesn't recognize the info as mandatory information. Here, as with the 'Flagged for Review'-fields, the machine needs some human help to help him read the information in the document.
You can choose to see or not see the blue boxes in your document. To activate the blue boxes around the unrecognized fields, go to the toolbar > view > show unrecognized.
Special actions
When you click on a blue box of unrecognized text, you will see in the edit field dialog that there are some special action commands. Let us explain what each action does:
Add to previous
Use this when this field needs to be added to an already existing row that is just above the current field.
For example: in your invoice, the machine recognized the name of the product and the number of items sold, but it didn't recognize the price.
The first 2 fields (ProductName & ItemsSold) are in a row. When you click on the price, and you select 'add to previous', it will add the ProductPrice in the row of the previously recognized ProductName and ItemsSold.
Add to next
Use this when this field needs to be added to an already existing row that is just below the current field
Let's use the same example: in your invoice, this time, the machine recognized the number of items sold and the price, but not the actual product name.
The recognized 2 fields (ItemsSold & ProductPrice) are already in a row a little bit further in the document. When you click on the name of the product, which is still surrounded by a blue box, you can select 'add to next'. This will add the ProductName in the row of the recognized ItemsSold and ProductPrice.
Delete
Applies only to: unrecognized text
The number of blue boxes with unrecognized fields are taken into account when calculating the 'document actions'. So if there are a lot of blue boxes, you'll have a lot of 'document actions' to go through before you can submit your document and have its status changed from 'review' to 'done'.
So, you can use this delete function when the entire line of unrecognized text does not contain any relevant information and therefore doesn't need to be extracted to your data view. By clicking delete, you delete the entire line of blue boxes around your text.
Delete until here
Applies to: unrecognized text
Similar to the previous action but in this case, you delete all the blue boxes that are in the document before your active cell.
So let's say you selected a blue box in the middle of your document. All the blue boxes on top of the page, up until (and including) the one you have selected in the middle, will be deleted.
Delete as of here
Applies to: unrecognized text
Similar to the previous action but you delete all the blue boxes that appear in the document AFTER your active cell.
For example: the machine recognized there's a lot of text in the footer but can't seem to label it as one of the required fields of your document. You don't need this information so you select the first box around the unrecognized text of the first line in the footer. By clicking 'delete as of here' you delete all the unrecognized text/blue boxes from that point onwards on that page.
