The contract.fit solution is a product with a self-learning AI technology at its core. It learns from examples meaning that every time the product is used, the feedback is incorporated. This is where operators, like you, step in.

Operators review the document fields extracted by the product. Wherever necessary, they add new fields and/or submit corrections. Our solution will remember these corrections and apply them for future processing. This is what we would refer to as annotating.

Below, we will explain to you step by step how you can leverage our solution as an operator to add value to your company. Enjoy reading your personalised guide, operator!

0 Accessing the solution

When you first go to your Contract.fit environment, you will see a login screen, as below. Fill in the username and safe password you've received from Contract.fit or from your administrator.

Open

Logging in successfully will automatically bring you to the Welcome page of the portal. Visit the welcome link for more information on the homepage, account details and safety, and password settings.

1 Uploading documents

As an operator, you would normally be feeding documents to our solution. For this, you will find all the practical information on the Upload.

Please note it is possible that you will never need this function as an operator. At some of our clients, only team leaders and administrators can use this function. So if you don't see 'upload' in your left-hand menu, it probably means someone else in your organization takes care of this and you can skip this part of the instructions.

2 Checking your inbox

Every file that is uploaded into the solution will be automatically processed and delivered into your inbox. On the Inbox link, you can read all about the different document statuses and different actions you can take.

The solution will have created predictions for all the incoming documents. Subsequently, operators are asked to review and complete the predictions.

3 Reviewing and annotating documents

The page of the portal is the main attraction of the solution for operators. Click on the link to be directed to a detailed explanation of the Review page.

This is a really important step in the Machine Learning journey of the product. The more precise you review the document (and make corrections where needed), the better the machine will learn where it can find the right information in the documents it needs to process.

By annotating all the documents in your inbox, you are informing the machine where it can find the correct information you need. This way, over time, the machine will learn to detect the information automatically, ultimately providing your company with an automated flow of information extraction from all sorts of documents.
